The region of Ladahk,"the land of high passes" is in Northern Kashmir, India. I'm told it's similar to the Tibet of 50 years ago. Ladahk is between 13,000 and 19,000 ft above sea level which added to the feeling of isolation. Despite a large Indian Army presents due to the proximity of the border with Tibet/China, Ladahk is a dramatic and deeply spiritual area. I spent a few days travelling around the region. I hope you like the photos.
