Here is an on going collection of photos in the “School of Polaroid”.
I am old enough to remember using the instant film Polaroid.
It was used as a “test” to check the shot before actually taking the final image.
I'm talking in the Dark Ages here ….pre digital.
You would look at the Polaroid to see if all was OK.
I can remember when viewing the Polaroid commenting “it's not all in shot” or “the light's not right” only to be told not to worry it will be OK when we use the film back in place of the Polaroid.
I used to think if that's true why use the Polaroid in the first place.
However most of the time the shots came out right.
We used to tape up all the Polaroids taken around the studio as mementos....
